I would have been sold on the Modern Baseball headline alone, but Neumos has put together a doozy of a line up for Wednesday night. They went ahead and tacked on PUP, Jeff Rosenstock and Tiny Moving Parts. If you need to dance away some mid-week angst this is definitely the show to do it at. All four bands tend to go at breakneck pace, and all four will have you singing back choruses in a variety of ways. Tiny Moving Parts and PUP are great for yelling along too, while Jeff Rosenstock consistently deliver songs that’ll hit you right in the feels. The openers alone are worth the short trip over to Neumos.
Modern Baseball are song writing masters, who deliver pop-punk drenched in a healthy coating of nostalgia and served with a nice helping of unbridled energy. It’s the type of music that’s just as good listening to by yourself on the bus ride home or in a lonely dorm room as it is surrounded by a bunch of amped fans. I dare you to go to this show and not get one of their songs stuck in your head. It’s impossible.
