Tell us who you are in 140 characters or less:
I am a second year Environmental Studies major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On campus, I work at the Center for Community Engagement and I am an Orientation Advisor. I love attending concerts in the Seattle area, and a few of my favorite bands are Whitney, Twin Peaks and Car Seat Headrest. I had a great time being a DJ at KXSU last year, and I am looking forward to serving as the Community Relations Director for the 2017-18 school year!
What is your favorite thing about KXSU?
My favorite thing about KXSU is the sense of community that we have at the station, which is especially present during our in-studio shows. The connections that we are able to make between local artists, SU students and members of the Seattle community through radio are remarkable.
What’s something everybody should do in Seattle at least once?
Everyone should see a show at a local venue! A few of my favorites are Chop Suey, The Crocodile, and Neumos. In a city as diverse as Seattle, local venues truly offer something for everyone.
Describe your perfect day:
My perfect day would be spent outside with friends hiking or going on a picnic. And of course, the day would end with one of my favorite bands performing at one of those great local venues I mentioned *wink*.
